The Second race of the 2007 season was a barnburner. The STCTS drivers proved why they are the class to watch for great racing. The day started off with Chance Overholt taking fast time and gaining the five extra bonus points for qualifying. He also took the win the the trophy dash. The main event was about as clean as a quarterscale race can get. Chance Overholt jumped out to the early lead with Brian Lambert close behind. Bryant Gibson was forced to retire early due to an evil car. With about 25 laps remaining until the lap 150 break, Brian Lambert took the lead from Chance and gained two laps on him after literally burning off the right rear tire. Chance was happy to see the lap 150 break .He threw on some new rubber, and knew he had his work cut out. At lap 194 Chance re-gained the lead after Lambert fell victum to the same problem as Overholt. Chance went on to claim his second victory in a row, followed by Steve Pfister and Brian Lambert to round out the top three. Points will be posted soon!
